Sr. Manager, Esports

POSITION SUMMARY

Bandai Namco Entertainment America is looking for a talented, highly motivated individual to join our Live Entertainment/Esports team in Southern California.

The Esports Senior Manager will lead the strategy, planning, marketing/promotion, and execution of Esports in North America and other global regions for TEKKEN 7, TEKKEN 8, and other global game titles. The teammate will collaborate with the Brand team, PR team, Events team, international counterparts, group companies and agency partners to develop and manage Esports programs for Bandai Namco Entertainment franchises.

The Esports Senior Manager will work with tournament organizers, production teams, players, and sponsors to coordinate Esports events and initiatives. The ideal candidate is a leader with experience in executing Esports activations and associated branding, and organizing live and online tournaments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop marketing/promotional strategies for multiple Esports brands such as TEKKEN 7, TEKKEN 8, and others as assigned
• Build, manage, and optimize external partnerships with: streaming platforms, Esports facilitators, other esports related organizations, and new relationships as needed
• Identify and champion current and future Bandai Namco titles for consideration within the Esports scene
• Oversee the operations for existing Esports programs and support participation in consumer, trade, and Esports events
• Plan, execute, and management Esports tournaments and related Esports events, and operate within events budget
• Track and report project status and KPIs in a timely and consistent manner
• Research, survey, and deliver event postmortems to optimize future event improvements
• Interface with key internal corporate stakeholders
• Develop, maintain and track overall esports budget(s), familiar with the P&L process & analysis is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Fluent in English and Japanese (preferred)
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the interactive entertainment industry (preferred)
• A minimum of 5 years Esports experience in the management, development and execution of competitive gaming leagues and tournaments online and offline or sports organizations management
• A minimum of 5 years of brand management, social marketing, and/or community management experience within entertainment/video game industries
• A minimum of 5 years experience in partner management
• Familiarity with livestreaming on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube Gaming, and Facebook Live
• Ability to travel, including international travel

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field

Salary Range:

$101,512.50 - $158,437.50
