Role Purpose:

The Senior Manager will be instrumental in driving the EMEA business to hit financial targets, working on new strategies and analyzing opportunities for franchise expansion.

The ideal candidate will have shown credentials in defining strategies and driving growth of a consumer product or service across multiple territories. They will combine thorough market and performance analysis alongside formulation of creative short-to-long-term strategies, and an aim to see them executed. Experience in gaming is not expected, however the candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, consumer-focused technology company.

Responsibilities:

Track and drive financial performance of the NBA2K franchise in EMEA

• Independently provide insights into NBA2K performance in EMEA on a weekly, monthly and quarterly level to a wide range of partners, from global leadership to local marketing teams
• Partner with various functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Live Services, Product Development, Analytics) to identify and drive ideas to help exceed operational and financial targets
• Review and approve pricing and promotional plans for the NBA2K franchise in EMEA

Define locally relevant growth strategies

• Identify, define and drive innovative commercial strategies that will drive growth of the NBA2K business across EMEA, through locally relevant new business models, pricing strategies, partnerships, content and events
• Independently build business cases to analyze new strategic ideas, through meticulous analysis of internal data and market benchmarks
• Clearly present findings to a wide range of partners, including senior leadership
• Collaborate with various functional teams to turn ideas in reality and drive execution
• Define and drive locally relevant migration strategies that maximize retention of our player base across titles
• Chip in on high-impact global growth initiatives

Strategic planning

• Build detailed territory-level forecasts for the NBA2K titles that can be used by local marketing and sales teams in their planning and budgeting

Key Skills and Requirements:

• 5+ years relevant work experience, including 2+ years within a strategy, commercial or business development role in a fast paced digital business (e.g. video games, e-commerce, subscription businesses, or other consumer internet)
• Other relevant prior experience could be in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity or in-house strategy
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study (e.g. business, economics, (computer) science, mathematics)
• Ability to independently build business cases / financial models in Excel from scratch
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of clearly communicating findings
• Integrity in working with the team across various levels and personality types, and ability to reliably navigate a global organization
• Proficiency in SQL is a plus, otherwise an ability to learn this
• Experience working in the video games industry is not required, but familiarity with gaming is a plus
