Senior Manager, Brand Marketing

As a Senior Brand Marketing Manager on our Brand Marketing Team, you’ll work closely with your peers in Marketing, Product Development, Publishing, and external licensors and vendors to articulate foundational player insights, craft marketing strategies, and orchestrate go-to-market plans and campaigns.
What are we looking for?
- You have a passion for games, the world of entertainment, experience in launching new games, and driving campaigns once in live service for medium to large scale mobile games
- You understand how to use mobile gaming data (CPI, Organic to Paid, DAU, ROI) to inform and evaluate marketing efforts, want to achieve results
- You have a thirst for player and market insights that guide brand, product, and campaign strategy
- You are passionate about inspiring and unlocking the best work from cross-functional teams through collaboration
- You are a student of marketing, understand the importance of creating great content and mapping that to the right channel distribution
- You understand and relish the importance of great storytelling
- You can take complex business, product, player, and brand insights transforming them into actionable steps to inspire your teammates
You will contribute by:
- Partnering and collaborating early in the product development process
- Developing marketing campaign strategies, based on key consumer insights, that fuel a framework for how to launch and support a live game
- Partnering with Consumer Insights and Product Development to understand product concept, feature, and market asset appeal to various target audience segments
- Planning and executing marketing initiatives against the larger business and brand goals
- Contributing to brand strategies including vision, promise, emotional and functional benefits, voice, and muse
- Collaborating with development teams - especially Live Operations - to ensure alignment between the product offering and marketing programs
- Orchestrate coordinated cross-functional efforts as we bring marketing plans, campaigns, and activations to market
- Provide day-to-day brand and marketing leadership, guard-rails, and guidance to expert, innovative, and passionate cross-functional groups
- Being the day-to-day marketing activation leader on your franchise
- Building strong relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams within the Publishing, Game Development, and Licensing partner groups
- Being the Brand/Franchise Ambassador who represents the go-to-market brief, and live support marketing plans with key external partners
- Management of partner and vendor relationships
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of the competition and market trends, collaborating with Consumer Insights to inform marketing strategies and projects
- Working with Finance and cross-functional partners to manage annual marketing budgets
- Partner with Business Development and successfully represent your brands with 1st party partners
Your background includes:
- Strong product marketing/marketing generalist background
- 5+ years in a marketing management or supervisory function
- Experience in fast-paced, launch-centric entertainment industries like video games with a strong passion for midcore RPG games (experience in playing our Shop Titans game is a major plus)
- Experience in live operations/subscription/evergreen content services
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write marketing copy, briefs, and be concise
- Strong background in developing product launch strategy and plans from the ground up and achieving success
- Successful track record in partnering with product development to create great products or services
- A mix of having worked on licensed and non-licensed products
- Experience working with external partners and licensors
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills
- Experience in galvanizing peer and partner groups around product launch strategy
- An enthusiastic and empowering peer group leader with positive energy and collaborative style, contributing to team-centered goals
- Able to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams in multiple geographic locations
- Strong project management experience including organizational skills, scheduling, and the ability to multitask
- Self-starter, proactive problem solver, and entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong computer skills: building presentations, spreadsheets, and documentation (Microsoft Office or Google Suite) as well as data analysis capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
