Senior Management Accountant

Creative Assembly is looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance Team here at our games development studio based in Horsham, West Sussex .
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will form part of a team of 11 and take responsibility for our Management accounting processes and activities, increasing the Finance functions profile and support within the organisation. Partnering with key stakeholders across the business will be key, as will, understanding our financial information and evolving it for users to help decision making and to support strategy.
Finance at Creative assembly can be complex at times and everyday will present a new challenge as our projects and company evolves. You will be critical in ensuring we understand these developments from a Financial perspective and can act on them accordingly
Key Responsibilities
In this interesting and varied role, you will work closely with the Business Analysis and Accounting teams to understand our finances, and communicate this to stakeholders within the organisation.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Own the monthly Management accounts pack
- Work with existing Finance team managers to improve the quality of our information
- Partner with Studio stakeholders to support projects
- Assist in identifying areas of risk, and any potential opportunities across the business
- Manage and develop a Management accountant
- Take ownership of collating the Financial information needed for the Sega project approval process
- Work with our colleagues at Sega to ensure an accurate (Creative Assembly) pillar P+L
- Create a suite of regular MI and provide adhoc Analysis - Generated from your own investigatory work, as well as any requests from the business
As key member of the team you will be approachable and able to build and maintain relationships across the business.Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Experience in a Management Accountant or FP+A role, preferably in a large organisation
- Ability to partner with non-finance management, and leads, to support projects and aid decision making
- Previous responsibility for preparing a monthly business reporting pack. This will need to be evidenced
- Team leadership and mentoring experience
- Strong PowerPoint skills, experience in using web-based applications to present information beneficial
- Demonstrable experience in presenting usable data
- CIMA Qualified
Desirable
- Experience working with game teams or creative industries
- Knowledge of SAP BPC or Oracle an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills – Lookups, Tables, graphs, Macros
