Senior Information Security Engineer

Summary

Aristocrat has an immediate opening for a Senior Information Security Engineer on our Security Operations team, which is a major component of our Global Information Security (GIS) function. As a Sr. Engineer you will be collaborating with IT, other InfoSec team members and managed service providers to protect Aristocrat from a variety of cyber threats.

What You'll Do

• Serves as subject matter expert for Incident Response and Forensics functions within the Security Operations team

• Coordinates response efforts for potential and confirmed security incidents

• Provides oversight of and guidance to Managed Detection and Response (MDR) resources and Monitoring and Response team to ensure quality of service

• Escalation point for confirmed incidents from the Monitoring and Response team

• Partners with business and security stakeholders to assist in defining the strategic cybersecurity objectives and goals

• Work autonomously to identify and execute on creating operational efficiencies

• Assists with setting and advancing the global strategic vision, and execution of all aspects of Aristocrat’s Global Information Security program

• Work with GIS leadership to identify opportunities for and produce regular Security Operations metrics reports

• Provides leadership and mentoring to the Security Operations team in the areas of:

o Monitoring and response activities

o Threat intelligence analysis activities

o Incident Management activities

o Security Automation activities

• Work with Security Architecture & Engineering to assess new technologies

• Work with Attack Surface Management to create cross-functional red team function

• Partners with GIS leadership and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) to deploy operational response model to ensure security standards and configuration management policies and protocols are effective, followed, and tracked

• Oversees all operational aspects of the Security Data Lake/ Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) / Logging Pipeline to ensure visibility throughout the environment

• Participates in the global Crisis Management Program and all supporting functions that consist of leading and governance council, conduct of risk analysis, impact assessment, reporting, and updates to global stakeholders as a part of Incident Response coordination

• Provides communication or escalation path for information security issues identified by Global Information Security or the business themselves

• Monitors industry information technology and security trends and emerging threats

What We're Looking For

• Three years in an Incident Response, Forensics, Engineering role

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field and minimum 8 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• 5+ years progressive experience in information technology.

• Minimum of 5 years of practical information security experience.

• Demonstrated experience in working with a geographically dispersed team.

• Demonstrated experience working with security tools such as Security Information Event Management (SIEM), Continuous Monitoring, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (ID/PS), Network Traffic Analysis, Incident Response, Endpoint Security Systems, Digital Forensics, WLAN Monitoring, and/or Threat Modeling.

• Knowledge of information security technologies, networking, systems, and infrastructure architecture in global capacity required.

• Ability to manage complex troubleshooting issues.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.

• Security certifications a plus.

• Excellent collaboration skills – must be eager to work as part of a cohesive team and work as a partner to other teams within Aristocrat, Inc., locally and globally

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.
