About the Role
We are looking for a colleague in our IT Department as Senior IT Specialist role located in Guadalajara, Mexico, who will help us support and maintain the computer systems of the organisation, maximizing uptime.
Skills and qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of OS such as Microsoft Windows, MacOS and Linux.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability (including operating system, drivers, apps, etc.)
- Strong knowledge using Microsoft Office365
- Strong knowledge using Microsoft Azure AD and Intune
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP
- Familiar with Endpoint Protection
- Well-versed in Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Servers, Network Infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, VPN, WINS, DNS, DHCP, IP-Addressing.
- Installing and configuring File and Print Servers
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Interact with the helpdesk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
About You
- At least 5-year experience in IT support
- Mandatory English language B2 (written and spoken)
- Dynamic, self-motivated, analytical person
- Open-minded and proactive, great “can do” attitude and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- The ability to meet deadlines in tight timeframes
- Ability to acquire new skills without external involvement
- Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment
Nice to have:
- Cambridge B+ certification or equivalent is considered a plus
- Cisco CCNA is considered a plus
- Any MSFT certification are considered a plus
- Prior admin knowledge with Atlassian Jira/Confluence are considered a plus
