Together, we’ll build something big, bold, and beautiful.
We are looking for a Senior/Principal Content Designer who is excited to lead and define the vision of what great player experiences look like in the survival genre. The ideal candidate is
capable of both thinking about player activities broadly as well as specific moment-to-moment play. Your efforts will help strengthen Blizzard’s core value of Gameplay First and you will be empowering a team to create the best player experiences.
We need your help with:
- Defining activity loops that will motivate players.
- Leading interdisciplinary teams to create best-in-class game content.
- Creating, maintaining, and sharing content pillars, plans, and philosophies.
- Owning major game-defining content features and the tools used to create them.
- Breaking down the survival genre and finding how to make it great for our players.
- Embracing Blizzard's core value of "Every voice matters," creating a safe space for collaboration, communication, and creativity across all disciplines and departments.
You’re good at:
- Understanding user behavior and what truly motivates players.
- Communicating design vision and aligning vision across the team.
- Defining and giving direction as well as feedback.
- Building experiences for a broad set of audiences.
- Self-critiquing and accept outside feedback.
- Being self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Building up those around you.
Extra awesome points for:
- A love for the survival genre.
- Familiarity with visual scripting.
- Extensive experience building content for AAA games.
- Enjoy playing a variety of video game genres and titles.
We believe our team is good. Really good. Granted, we’re obviously biased. But we also believe there are lots of developers out there who can make us even better. You could be one of those people. If you’re looking for a team where inclusion, thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration are all seen as critically important, we believe our team could be a phenomenal fit for you. Join us and help craft our future!
