Job Description
Magic Leap is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience working in an advanced technology team, office of CTO, or Research team, developing new technologies in SOC, optical, display, sensing, RF and EM technologies for product design to join our team developing next-generation technology for mixed-reality devices in an Agile Hardware Environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work on research and development of new sensor and display technologies from concept to product
- System and component specification definition
- Simulation, modeling, design and test project development
- Skilled at troubleshooting board issues and implementing tests at system level
- Develop benchmarking and profiling tools
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of work experience in related field
- Must work well with interdisciplinary groups
- Experienced writing firmware in C/C++
- Proficiency with data analysis languages such as MATLAB or Python
- Digital and Analog circuit design experience
- Experience using Cadence Allegro or other schematic/layout tool
- Experience in electrical system simulation with PSPICE
- Experience in printed circuit board design & bringup
- Experience debugging common serial protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)
- Power management design and techniques & battery life optimization
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with embedded video standards such as MIPI and LVDS
- Experience with other high speed standards such as USBC, PCIe, and DisplayPort
- Experience with design of illumination systems
- Experience developing with camera system design
Bonus Qualifications
- FPGA design experience
- Vector Processing and DSP processor experience
Education:
- BS in Electrical Engineering is required. MS or PhD is preferred
