Destiny Senior Hard Surface Art Outsourcing Specialist

Are you passionate about creating amazing looking hard surface art for video games? We’re looking for a Hard Surface Artist with 5 or more years in the games industry who has experience working with outsourced assets and has great communication skills. Specifically, this job requires:
RESPONSIBILITES
- Responsible for high quantity of feedback on outsource assets of a sub discipline that matches the Destiny aesthetic, while advocating discipline best practices
- Communicating to external art vendors at each stage of 3d production: Block Model, High Poly, Low Poly and UVs, Textures, etc.
- Incorporating feedback from Art Direction, from the Art Outsource Manager and the Hard Surface Art Lead
- Standardizing naming conventions and file organization.
- Integration on all types of assets
- Building and maintaining documentation for technical pipelines, workflows, and spec-sheets
- Spearhead innovative pipelines and workflows related to 3-D content creation
- Mentorship of internal support team and external vendor artists
- Custom shader and dye creation
- Closing Bug Support
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to take direction well
- Advanced Artistic Modeling Skill
- Attention to detail.
- Able to troubleshoot technical issues related to creating 3d art and a willingness to learn our proprietary game engine.
- Maintaining positive relationships with internal artists and external vendors.
- Time Management and Prioritization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
