What You'll Do
Reporting to the UK HRP Lead; this role plays a key part of the local leadership team in driving the success of Mediatonic’s 350+ employees as it continues to grow as an organisation across the UK and Spain.
Mediatonic was acquired by Epic Games in March 2021 and is an integral part of the Epic team! With a population of approximately 5,000 employees globally, Epic continues to grow and this role will support Mediatonic’s further integration into the Epic family. You’ll be a key member of the International People Team who are critical to how we support our people and deliver professional and friendly counsel across Europe and APAC. You will provide effective support across the full HRP remit as well as supporting the implementation of a range of complex and evolving People projects that help move our business forward in an exciting period for the studio.
In this role, you will
- Operate as a true partner and contributor to the Mediatonic Leadership, providing input that can play a key part to the strategic growth and operational effectiveness in a dynamic environment
- Work with senior business leaders and executives both locally and globally in a complex matrix structure in conjunction with our Centres of Expertise and global HR colleagues
- Provide proactive pragmatic coaching to business units in the areas of talent development, organisational design, performance management, succession planning and manager coaching
- Lead complex employee relations discussions and supporting, guiding and coaching leads and HRP’s through these processes
- Able to initiate, lead, drive and implement change management initiatives
What we’re looking for
- 10+ years HR experience as a Senior HRP, including, coaching and partnering with senior leaders to build a robust and mature Leadership team
- Able to exceed and deliver results in a complex, matrixed, global, fast paced organisation
- Expertise in navigating within ambiguous situations, with high levels of autonomy
- Able to deal with continual change and desire to make a difference is paramount
- Past experience with growth, departmental transformation and extensive change management required
- Excellent project management skills and a great team player
- Current, in-depth knowledge of UK legal requirements related to human resources and employee management locally
- Working knowledge of Spain or additional complex European countries are highly advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working in a virtual environment
