Playground Games is looking for Senior HR Manager: Projects Lead to join our HR team on a contract basis.

About the Role:
We’re looking for passionate and proactive HR professional to join our dynamic team in the heart of a rapidly growing and successful Gaming business in Leamington Spa.
This 12-month fixed-term contract role offers an exciting opportunity to lead some key People projects, working with our HR & Talent Acquisition Director, Senior HR Manager and TA Manager to shape the future of our Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Talent Management strategies.
This is a brand-new role for the business which offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of our team, while shaping the future of our core People processes.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong HR experience with a proven track record of delivering successful projects either as a HRBP/generalist or in HR specialisms / centres of excellence.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritise, plan, and manage communications and resources effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the experience to identify and address HR challenges.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience of partnering creative/technical teams & working with competing priorities.
- A strong understanding of best practices across UK HR / people processes.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development:
- Partner with the HR & Talent Acquisition Director and internal leaders / stakeholders to identify and develop a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis / L&D plan for the entire studio.
- Research, source, and implement learning and development opportunities, including partnering with internal (PG and Microsoft) and external training programs.
- Work with Training providers and internal stakeholders to build out a manager development program.
- Manage outcomes from Employee Survey, identifying top 3 areas for impact and improvement in both Fable and Horizon teams.
- Track and measure both budgets and the effectiveness of L&D initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Work with the HR & Talent Acquisition Director to analyse pay data and identify compensation priority projects.
- Develop and implement salary bandings utilising industry benchmarking data and tools ensuring internal pay equity and market competitiveness.
- Review benefits / benchmarking against local or national competitors.
- Drive annual benefits review processes, working with our Benefits broker and internal stakeholders / ERG’s to benchmark and innovate our offering within budget and timeframe constraints.
Talent Planning:
- Build process for managing organisational health data to identify talent needs and gaps.
- Partner with key business leaders to build a job family architecture / Career framework, incorporating work with salary bandings.
- Develop and implement strategies (9 box etc) to improve employee retention and succession planning.
- Review and improve existing HR processes, such as sickness absence management and probation review processes.
- Review and recommend improvements for our exit interview process, focused on collecting critical data for better decision making on future HR projects.
Project Management:
- Manage and prioritize multiple project tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- Develop and manage project documentation / tracking of all projects.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
