We're looking to expand our QA team within Hypixel Studios, which collaborates remotely from around the world. Our members range from industry newcomers to experts with 15+ years of experience. Team members come from a diverse set of backgrounds, but share a common passion for building polished, player-focused, community-powered games.
The key qualities we are looking for in applicants are that they are demonstrably passionate about their hobbies, have the drive and commitment to deliver results with minimal supervision, have international-level professional competency in their skill sets, and can demonstrate involvement with other interesting projects throughout their lives.
As a Senior Game Tester based in our Derry~Londonderry office, you will work embedded in our QA Team to ensure that our products fulfil their design and quality goals. With your experience in game testing, you can easily derive QA methods that strive for the best user experience. When spotting a game for the first time, you immediately start to analyse its features and break it down into connected components. You are happy to spread your knowledge and mentor fresh starters into becoming a senior game tester as well.
Some of your role:
- Work in a passionate QA Team with all kinds of experience levels

- Spot and openly communicate areas of growth
- Derive meaningful test sessions / stories / plans out of our products
- Monitor and report on their execution by analysing progress, quality status and results
- Create structured problem descriptions and be able to communicate in a constructive manner
- Collaborate with different disciplines to support them on QA tasks

- Continuously learn and grow personally and professionally
Desired Traits:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in manual game testing
- Experience with different game testing techniques
- An understanding of the importance and the maintenance of all forms of testing within the game life cycle
- Be able to analyze and communicate test results to identify strengths and weaknesses and identify priority areas for improvement
- The ability to analyse, describe, report and track on identified problems (Defects)
- Creative problem solving skills (troubleshooting, workarounds)
- Willingness to knowledge transfer, mentor and support others
- Self empowered, versatile performer with the desire to take on new challenges
- True knowledge of gaming, the gaming culture and community
