Homeworld 3 is the upcoming entry in the award-winning franchise that revolutionized 3D strategy. It will continue the powerful space epic journey of the Hiigaran people through the galaxy while offering best-in-class space combat and visuals. Fans will find everything they know and love from Homeworld, reimagined for the modern age in Unreal Engine: enigmatic megastructures to navigate through and use as cover; jaw-dropping environments on a massive scale, and upgraded ballistics simulation.

You will be part of a high-performing team who can crunch ideas quickly and come up with dazzling solutions to challenging problems. You will have a collaborative approach and be directly involved in the day-to-day decision-making and ship a high-quality game.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical team supporting Console development efforts
- Provide guidance and maintain strong relationships with technical outsourcing partnersOwn the development of any specialized systems for specific platforms
- Be the expert and owner for platform SDKs and hardware.
- Supporting optimization of systems and dealing with platform-specific issues such as bug fixes and systems crashes.
- Jump wholeheartedly into learning new technologies and systems and leverage them in creative ways to meet our technical and business needs.
- Assess requirements and provide effort estimates to guide an evolving development plan.
- Embrace and help improve our engineering practices for solid design, testing, and implementation.
Requirements
- 7+ Years of experience shipping AAA games on multiple platforms
- Experience leading a small technical team
- Deep understanding of C++ and Unreal Engine 4
- Experience optimizing systems for console platforms.
- Self-direction and a proven ability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and leadership skills, including verbal and written skills.
- Experience working with external stakeholders and development teams
- Experience debugging and understanding rendering technology.
- Desktop / Console / Mobile/ VR development experience.
- Understanding of memory management systems, file systems, CPU/GPU profiling tools
- Experience working with networking and online services
