Senior Fullstack Engineer

The Engineering & Data team builds innovative tech products and platforms to support the impressive growth of their gaming and consumer apps which allow Voodoo to stay at the forefront of the mobile industry. The Engineering & Data team plays a key role in Voodoo’s long-term strategy. It enables Voodoo to both accelerate product diversification and provide a state of the art growth-engine to distribute and scale our games. They create innovative solutions that drive growth with a pragmatic approach, ranging from simple searching to complex machine learning systems.

You will join the Engineering team and be part of a 7-person squad (max) working at high pace in coordination with 2 other teams on this engine, with full ownership over their scope - from infrastructure configuration to delivery. You will be working on a state-of-the-art growth engine to make sure all the needs of our acquisition and monetization teams are covered: Understanding user value thanks to BI and modeling. Improve creative optimization: Improved design & creative management, to increase performance and drive production. Easy access to performance data: Adaptable dashboard to understand growth, monetization, and product performance. Team efficiency: Centralize and simplify operators’ actions. Using one platform to launch and scale an app easily, without switching between different tools. The target audience ranges from studios developing various types of games (Casual, Midcore, Niche, Hybrid, and Hyper Casual) to creators of consumer apps seeking a convenient growth management tool.

This position is hybrid and requires 3 days/week in the office based in Paris.

Role

• Design & build business-focused full-stack applications in a cutting-edge and evolving environment
• Provide a state-of-the-art growth engine to distribute and scale our apps & games
• Participate in the business strategy and vision and consistently deliver innovative solutions to our business teams
• Demonstrate technical excellence, help define best practices, test and build the product everyone will desire
• Demonstrate ownership: capacity to be autonomous, innovative, and creative.

Profile

• 5 years minimum of professional experience as a Fullstack Developer (not including internships)
• Extensive proven track record of successful product development such as web applications (mobile and/or desktop) that provide high value to internal/B2B/B2C end-users
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Pragmatic, adaptable, and result-oriented with a problem-solving approach
• Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and deal with change.

Must Haves

• Strong experience in Object-Oriented Programming or functional language, ideally JavaScript/Typescript
• Solid experience in 3rd party integrations
• Strong experience dealing with web back-end complex topics, for example, breaking down a monolith into microservices, building a brand new system from scratch, building a rule-based engine with complex business rules, handling integrations with complex 3rd parties
• Good knowledge of industry best practices (SOLID, KISS, YAGNI, DDD, TDD…)

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS: EC2, RDS, EB, SQS, SNS, ES, Airflow, Lambda…
• DevOps experience, ideally good knowledge of CircleCI / Github / Terraform / ArgoCD / Docker / Kubernetes
• Experience in the Gaming or Advertising industry
