Responsibilities

  • Create, manage and expand on the game’s core environments. Work closely with and support Level Design to maintain a flexible iterative approach
  • Set quality benchmarks for environment assets and ensure consistency in their technical delivery within performance constraints
  • Collaborate with different disciplines and Leads to plan and prioritise workloads and workflow improvements
  • Experiment and research alongside Tech and Art direction with an understanding of the product enabling better world-building and visual choices
  • Give feedback, support team morale, and facilitate free and open creative communication

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in games production as environment artist or equivalent (e.g. Senior Artist)
  • Good understanding of lighting, shape, composition, colour and layout
  • Good technical understanding of game engines
  • Expert proficiency in 3D and 2D content creation tools of your choice
  • Self motivated with excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working within a stylised art setting

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Unreal Engine experience
  • Shader creation knowledge/experience
  • Houdini or other procedural generation experience
  • Experience in mobile game development
  • Scripting and tool creation experience
  • Traditional art skills and general passion for art in general
