Senior Engineering Manager, Application Security

The AppSec Manager should also have excellent collaboration and communication skills. The Security teams partner closely with each other, and also must engage technical partners all across the org and at all levels to achieve good solutions among competing demands. This requires subject matter depth, business maturity and acumen, and ability to relate to other departments’ needs.

You Are:
- A leader with a proven track record of strong people management skills with an ability to hire and grow a talented team of engineers
- Able to contribute to architecture and implementation discussions
- Knowledgeable in cryptography, PKI, TLS as well as practical implementation of the same
- Experienced in SDLC, with knowledge of how product security may integrate with it
- Experienced in operationalizing and communicating security best practices within a large-scale environment
- Knowledgeable in Linux and Windows operating systems and security
- Experienced with with OWASP, static/dynamic analysis, and common security tools
- Experienced with AWS security (IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, etc..) and cloud best practices
- Experienced with various regulatory compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, etc)
You Will:
- Develop team Roadmap, charter and vision for Application security team. Own and deliver complex technical projects from the planning stage through execution.
- Hire and provide mentoring to both junior and senior engineers in their progress on business and personal career goals
- Develop and track key metrics for quality and team performance, drive their improvement over time, and communicate their status
- Work closely with a diverse cross-section of Roblox domain experts to build and improve application security controls
- Contribute to security education and training - preparation of materials and communication through diverse parts of the org.
