Senior Development Manager: Agile Consultant

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Agile Consultant to work with the Creative Assembly game development teams to take our Agile production processes to the next level, functioning as catalyst for organisational growth and team development.
You will run training courses across the team to drive improvements and provide team members with the skills and knowledge required for accreditation. You will also support the development of high-quality production processes within the studio and be an advocate for Creative Assembly across the wider games industry.
Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Development Manager: Agile Consultant at Creative Assembly, you will educate team members at all levels in Agile principles and methods, providing them with the tools for implementing effective process in their own work and to become formally certified where appropriate.
You will familiarise yourself with existing processes and teams within the studio and formulate training that catalyses organisational growth and change. In the process you will mentor and guide teams in the adoption and refinement of their use of Agile while respecting their autonomy.
You will analyse existing templates and processes and help establish and maintain a PMO function that both develops and documents best practice across the studio.
You will keep abreast of new developments within the games industry and may travel to other Sega studios worldwide both to advocate for Creative Assembly and garner knowledge that can then be brought back into the studio to drive continuous improvement.
As needed, you will work on specific game teams to learn their challenges and provide them support in best practices for production.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, with corresponding experience training cross-discipline teams in large organisations
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management experience with a good understanding of planning, scheduling, process and people management
- Interest and experience in organisational change. Able to understand team issues and work collaboratively to mentor and recommend solutions
- Knowledge of and/or experience within the games industry
- Driven and self-motivated
- SCRUM Master certification
Desirable
- Additional agile training certifications
- Knowledge of the Total War franchise
- Knowledge of console development
- Good JIRA and Excel skills
