Summary
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for applying a wide variety of statistical and analytical techniques to business problems to glean valuable insights in support of key strategic business initiatives. They apply analytical rigor and statistical methods to data and are comfortable manipulating and interpreting complex, high-volume, and high-dimensionality data from varying sources. Incumbents are effective communicators capable of driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical audiences on their own.
This person will work with large and complex data sets, with the possibility to make a huge impact on the success of our titles. The Senior Data Scientist will work as part of an experienced and highly skilled team with opportunities to learn and develop their skillset, alongside the possibility of coaching team members.What you'll do
- Uses inferential and descriptive statistics to interpret data and provide answers to business questions.
- Applies complex transformations to cleanse and shape data sets.
- Builds models and develops computational prototypes with minimal guidance in addition to exploratory data analysis.
- Uses effective visualization techniques to present findings
- Easily understands business problems and translates them into analytical requirements and tasks.
- Writes moderately complex to advanced SQL in addition to other programming languages to understand source system data and identify potential issues with it.
- Applies sampling techniques for selecting representative data set features.
- Collaborates with other BI teams on the implementation of data Science and big data projects.

- Good understanding of visualizations techniques and tools.
- Bachelor/Master/PhD degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, etc.
- Experienced with either Python or R, for statistical analysis and/or modeling, and with SQL for data manipulation and extraction
