Senior Creative Producer

Job Summary:
Operating from within the internal Square Enix Creative Department, this role is the face of Creative Development to Brand, Marketing, External Partners and Executives alike. Deep familiarity with creative development workflows, planning and effective resource management is expected, as well as understanding the impact of production decisions on both creative output and our cross-functional partner’s business goals. The role requires a specialist in managing expectations, and ability to identify and articulate alternative solutions when changes arise.
As a Sr. Creative Producer, you’re a superstar who can oversee the entire delivery of a project—from beginning to end—while keeping an even-keeled attitude. You’re a fountain of knowledge, leader, and patient manager to other Producers. You are a pro when it comes to scheduling and creating responsible timelines and also keeping teammates and leadership updated on a regular basis. Additionally, you’re a team player who knows communication and collaboration are keys to success. Your goal will be to ensure processes are in place so that industry-leading work is produced efficiently, on time, and within budget.
You will work on content development initiatives for social, performance marketing advertising, video content, editorial materials, branding, logos, style guides, packaging, event materials, and more. You will coordinate with the various teams within Square Enix to ensure deliverables are on-time and distributed across the various teams.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly. You can manage multiple projects; communicate clearly and objectively; and keep the team informed and aligned in order to meet our deadlines effectively. You will be an advocate for the Creative Department and our process.
Requirements
Key Deliverables:
- Cross-departmental collaboration and management of broadcast, print, and digital projects including specialty projects from initiation through implementation and deployment.
- Securing sourcing quotes and negotiations with vendors.
- Manage producers, vendors, and internal resources.
- Identify best practices and develop new systems/process/tools for complex integrated client projects.
- Develops, implements, and manages project scoping, planning/scheduling of internal and external resources, estimating, and building project timelines.
- Work across teams to determine the scope of a project, hours allocation, and the necessary resources required.
- Maintain regular communication with the ECD to provide status updates on schedule and budget.
- Proactively identifies ways to provide added value to the creative process through fiscally responsible solutions and savvy production management.
- Lead weekly departmental project status meetings.
- Navigate competing priorities, allocate resources appropriately, and mitigate associated challenges.
- Coordinate projects to eliminate time-sensitive bottlenecks and produce high-quality creative expediently.
- Work closely with internal and external partner teams to identify more efficient workflows.
- Act as liaison between Creative Services and all other departments worldwide for marketing materials -- Requesting assets, providing assets, and approvals.
- Work with cross-functional leads to determine the scope of a project, hours allocation, and the necessary resources required.
- Thoroughly review job input and kick back as needed to ensure optimal efficiency for creative staff.
- Gathering, organizing, and storage of all required client assets.
- Work with internal and external resources to build out digital creative assets based on Creative Brief and Media Plan provided by requesting partner, from beginning to end.
- Encourages staff to be innovative and solution oriented.
- Mentors, develops, and guides creative production team.
- Provide vendor/partner research and vetting to ensure they will deliver the highest-quality creative product and stay true to the vision of the project/deliverable.
- Maintain vendor/partner sourcing database.
- Help ensure the strategic and visual consistency of all Square Enix brands.
- Plan, lead, and communicate internal and external workflows, ensuring an effective exchange of information and deliverables.
- Schedule, lead, and document all meetings needed for briefing, review, and approval of projects.
- Work with project stakeholders and the Creative Services team to define project goals, budgets, and deadlines, and communicate clearly to the team.
- Review all materials to ensure they meet internal and external requirements including broadcast specifications, social media file formats and deliverables, brand, and legal guidelines.
- Request and manage project budgets, provide reporting as necessary.
- Manage departmental purchasing process, creating purchase requisitions, and requesting any necessary contracts.
Knowledge & Experience:
Essential:
- Extensive experience managing simultaneous projects in a fast-paced agency, marketing, or creative services environment.
- Video and print production experience; agency experience a plus.
- Knowledge of video content production workflows & timetables.
- Solution-driven, even against challenging projects/situations.
- Process-driven: must be assertive when project requests are incomplete, incorrect, or failing to meet minimum development timetables.
- Expert knowledge of marketing, content creation and production processes across digital and print.
- Experience articulating creative intent to others and proactively coordinating with partners to bring ideas to life.
- Ability to review SOW’s, handle budgets, negotiate costs efficiently with third party vendors, and track spending.
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of packaging process
- Entertainment experience – preferably gaming.
- Knowledge of Wrike or comparable project management platform.
