About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Console TRC Engineer with extensive experience in console TRC compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ programming and experience with custom game engines. Unity DOTS experience is a bonus, though we prioritize finding an exceptional engineer even if they do not possess Unity DOTS expertise. This role involves working on a project that utilizes a custom version of the Unity Engine, primarily written in C++. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring TRC compliance, optimizing performance, and resolving engine-level bugs.
The Quest:
- Ensure all game releases meet console TRC compliance across various platforms.
- Implement and optimize code to meet the performance and technical requirements of console TRCs.
- Collaborate with other engineers to fix bugs and improve the custom Unity Engine version, primarily written in C++.
- Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve TRC compliance issues.
- Assist in the submission process for console certification, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Stay updated with the latest console TRC guidelines and requirements.
- Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for optimization to enhance game performance.
- Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements in the custom game engine to support our gaming products.
The Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in game development with a focus on console TRC compliance.
- Strong proficiency in C++ programming.
- Experience with custom game engines is required.
- Familiarity with Unity DOTS is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of console TRC guidelines and requirements for platforms such as PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry.
