At Teravision Games, we are looking for a talented Console Engineer (PlayStation/Xbox) to work on our upcoming unannounced AAA game. The ideal candidate will develop specific platform functionalities and porting to work in the console version of the game. He/She will focus principally on one of the target consoles, Playstation or Xbox.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of UE4 programming experience.
- Must be proficient in C++.
- Experience developing for game consoles or strong interest in learning to develop for game consoles
- Excellent English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Build, launch, and maintain the title on the target platform.
- Profile and optimize the title on the target platform.
- Update SDK after every major revision for the target platform.
- Inform the production team in a timely fashion when support from other areas is needed to develop specific platform functionalities.
- Coordinate co-development efforts (when required) to develop specific target platform functionalities.
- Follow the technical requirements of the target platform and help develop a plan to fulfill such requirements.
- Help with build tooling for the target platform.
- Update documention regarding features and functionalities specifics to the target platform.
- Mentor co-workers in the specifics of the target platform.
- Help artists and technical artists overcome the constraints of the target platform.
- Port gameplay functionalities that need to be reworked in the target platform.
- Help QA and other developers to debug complex issues and fix crashes on the target platform.
Nice-to-Haves
- 2+ years UE4 programming experience.
- Experience with either Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, or Xbox series X
- Experience in game profiling and optimization.
