We are looking for someone like you to become our all-new Senior Concept Artist on our flagship franchise – Sniper Elite! We would love for you to join our passionate and talented Concept team, where we are building on the years of success that Rebellion has enjoyed.

Senior Concept Artist role:

The Senior Concept Artist is a new role dedicated to delivering concept art for the project and ensure the integration of the work is in line with the project’s artistic direction. As part of the Concept Art team, you will play a key role in illustrating the consistent look and feel of an entire game.

This role would suit an artist with traditional fine art skills such as composition, perspective, lighting, anatomy, architecture, texture, painting, etc.

For this role extensive knowledge of World War 2 history and items including such things as weapons, vehicles, and uniforms would be beneficial.

The Rebellion Concept Art team work with game teams to create conceptual images of what scenes, characters, lighting conditions etc. might look like before huge amounts of time is invested in 3D work. Sometimes concepts are quick explorations, sometimes they form fully as artwork in their own right.

Responsibilities

• Illustrate the consistent look and feel of an entire game to a high standard
• Develop specific visual game asset concepts for construction and use in the project
• Communicate complex concepts and designs, from high level pitches to the smallest production details

• Reference game design documents to develop an understanding of the environments, objectives, atmospheres, story and style of the project
• Ensure the artistic quality of the project by collaborating with Senior Artists and make changes when necessary

Requirements

• Advanced traditional fine art skills such as composition, perspective, colour theory, lighting, anatomy, architecture, texture, and painting.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of Photoshop or other 2D packages
• Advanced understanding of visual storytelling
• Able to effectively communicate information, whilst building long-term, trusting relationships with a wide range of people

Beneficial:

• Knowledge and understanding of 3D software such as 3D Studio Max or Maya
• Knowledge and understanding of 3D sculpting packages such as Zbrush or Mudbox
• Extensive knowledge of World War 2 history and items, including weapons, vehicles, and uniforms.
