Senior Concept Artist

lllumix is an integrated gaming and technology company, transforming the future of mixed reality with environmentally-intelligent, world-scale AR games.

We’re seeking a Concept Artist with a proven track record in mobile gaming to join our team. You are humble but ambitious. You take gameplay seriously and thrive on innovation. You are passionate about games and aren’t afraid to try new things. You will work closely with our art and development teams to create character, object and environment art from quick roughs through color comps toward final quality art and model sheets. You will contribute to the developing art style and realizing the artistic vision. With a new, large-scale AR game (Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery), we’re pushing the boundaries on every front so you’ll get to change the face of gaming as we know it.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspire the team and game direction by creating expressive character, environment and prop designs
• Discover and realize epic ideas through rapid creation of thumbnails, color studies and mood paintings
• Capture the artistic vision of our games through inspirational illustrations and paintings
• Illuminate your team’s path with visuals that help clarify and define difficult to imagine concepts

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years experience as a concept artist and illustrator
• Exceptional at creating 2D art, from rapid ideation to delivering final polished visuals
• Solid understanding of anatomy, silhouette and form when designing characters
• Refined visual eye for color, lighting and composition
• Collaborative by nature, always looking to explore and create memorable visual experiences with your team
• Experience with Zbrush or similar 3D applications is a plus
