Senior Composer, Sound

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Senior Composer to work with the Music Team. We’re part of the Story and Franchise Development group that works with all Blizzard teams to create musical content for in-game content, trailers, cinematics, and much more.
Blizzard’s Music Team's Senior Composers are unique in the breadth their job entails from music to game implementation systems and ideas. So, if you enjoy the challenge of forging new ideas, collaboration, and seeing projects from start to finish and, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities- Ability to take music from concept to implementation while maintaining consistent aesthetic(s) across all of the music in our games
- collaborate with the Music Director, Composers and Assistants, and other creative partners to realize musical content for Blizzard games
Requirements- A minimum of 7 years of experience in music composition for games, film or television
- Superior ear for music and all its related details, and the ability to use them in creating beautiful music that support gameplay
- Experience with creating consistently awesome, memorable, emotional, but most importantly appropriate, music in support of our in-game entertainment and linear media
- Experience in the wide range of digital content creation tools multiple DAW's, plug-in and ancillary programs
- Experience in organizing, and directing recording sessions, and working directly with musicians
- Self-motivated, collaborative, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a team
- Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback
- Extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passion for games
Pluses- Familiarity with Blizzard games, their worlds and music
- Strong foundation in the traditional music arts including but not limited to notation, orchestration, playing musical instruments (Related software - Sibelius/Finale)
- Previous games and/or films/TV industry scoring experience
- Experience working in level editors, or building game mods
- Passion for creating memorable, melodic music
