Senior Backend Engineer (Epic Games Store)

Epic is seeking a senior backend engineer for the Epic Games Store .

Our team is building services that power the features of the Epic Games Store. We are passionate about empowering developers to make great games, and helping players to safely and easily enjoy them. We hope to leverage our growth in order to push the boundaries of what an online marketplace can be.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of new and existing features for both Store users and game developers. You’ll work with infrastructure and front end developers, using the latest technologies to build a world class content distribution platform. Qualifications:

• Experience solving impactful technical challenges; we look for people who can assess a challenge, craft a scalable architecture, and run with implementation
• Service ownership experience; the ability to run and deploy high-availability services using cloud solutions (we use AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Experience with performance optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Deep knowledge of Java or other JVM languages (Kotlin, Scala), REST, microservices
• Experience in a continuous integration/continuous delivery environment
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
