Senior Audio Programmer
San Diego Studio
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking an Audio Programmer to develop state-of-the-art audio solutions for PlayStation's “MLB The Show” game series. The Show has continually been PlayStation’s bestselling sports game and incorporates the latest in audio technology. In this role, your task will be to explore, design and enhance The Show’s technology in an effort to deliver the best audio experiences known to the gaming industry. Responsibilities:
- Implement new and/or maintain existing groundbreaking audio capabilities
- Design, develop and/or support existing in-house audio tools and low level audio code
- Feature addition and improvement based on project and studio needs
- Support and actively collaborate with other team members
- Audio code optimization
Required:
- Strong C++ coding and systems design experience
- At ease with advanced mathematics
- Comfortable writing and maintaining c/c++ game code and in-house tools.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Able to communicate effectively and actively
- Strong social interaction skills
- Self-motivated and ambitious teammate with a good work ethic and reciprocal attitude
Nice-to-Have:
- Game industry experience
- Audio programming experience.
- Experience with middleware audio solutions
- Cross-platform experience
- DSP experience
- B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience
