Senior Artist - Environment

Studio/Department: Dimensional Ink Games

Location: Austin, TX/ Remote work available for approved State (CA, TX, NY, WA)

Employee Type: Full Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Modeling of structures, and objects using Maya and ZBrush.

• Creation and application of textures using Photoshop, Maya and ZBrush.

• Able to quickly learn and use proprietary tools and programs.

• Understanding of memory/cpu constraints and how they affect asset creation.

• Work with Art team to maintain consistency through the game world

• Work with the Design team to ensure game flow is optimal around assets

• Self-motivated, with the ability to critique your own work for improvement and an autonomous work ethic.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Maya and Photoshop.

• Proficiency as a map owner/ world builder.

• Able to work with a team of art director and design team on levels owning all aspects of world development.

• MMO Live Game Experience

• High proficiency in ZBrush, including clean, game ready meshes, and textures.

• Experience with terrain and terrain textures

• Strong lighting skills

• Traditional art background, including color theory, composition, and lighting.

• Strong communication skills and professional work ethics

• Goal oriented focus with the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining quality.

• Ability to quickly learn and implement complex pipelines and systems.

• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a proficiency in 2D and 3D art

• Experience working in an agile environment

• Must play games!

• Proven track record in at least 2 shipped titles (preferably AAA)
