THE JOB AND THE TEAM!

We are looking for a Senior Animation Programmer to join the development of our latest title.

An ambitious online multiplayer third person action game in Unreal Engine 5.

You will have ownership of the development and maintaining of the entirety of our animation systems, from animation import to code integration. You will support animators with tools and pipeline creation. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will drive quality and innovation, and mentor others. We are looking for an initiative taker with a passion for animation.

Working within our talented engineering team, you will:

· Create, maintain and extend animation systems, from 3Cs to swimming to fantasy creatures.

· develop and maintain tools, pipelines and workflows.

· Research cutting edge technique to create engaging gameplay experiences and optimise animation quality.

· Write clear, maintainable, and portable c++ code that adheres to the coding standards and follow engineering best practices.

· Support gameplay engineers, by writing clean interfaces they can plug into and coordinating with them on architectural design.

· Coordinate animators and technical animators to produce an efficient workflow, automate data validation and produce robust practices.

· Mentor more junior engineers via code reviews, architecture reviews and giving presentations to the team.

· Contribute establishing best engineering practices on the project by coordinate with fellow engineers.

· Analyse short and midterm risk and opportunities for the animation department.

· Support the development team with recruitment.

What we need:

· Strong and confident coder using C++

· Experience working with animation state machines.

· Pro-active mindset who takes initiative.

· Experience being a strong communicator across multiple teams.

· Experience using Unreal Engine preferred.
