Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Analyst, Strategic Planning in Aliso Viejo, CA to create highly customized and robust financial and strategic plans for a new Sony cloud gaming service. Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, or related field or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience delivering on future cloud gaming strategies and platform initiatives. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience assessing the competitive cloud gaming landscape and researching overall gaming industry trends, including deep-dive research and analysis of competing cloud gaming services and technology; developing a cloud gaming market size framework and forecast model by analyzing internet connectivity population growth, gamer penetration growth and gamer sentiment data; preparing customized cloud network infrastructure forecast model to capture IP transit cost optimization, power management optimization and user streaming behavior; analyzing the subscription business model and product fit, and assessing alternative unique business models adopted by competition to understand potential fit; working on cloud network infrastructure components, capital expenditure needs, operating expenditure needs and capacity utilization for network expansion to support cloud streaming; using business intelligence data warehouse to deliver data-backed analyses and strategic recommendations; identifying suitable content acquisition targets to bolster content portfolio in support of cloud gaming; working with external gaming companies to explore gaming partnership opportunities; interpreting financial statements and company earnings metrics; creating long-term strategic plans based on business dynamics of the video game industry and video game business models; and utilizing business intelligence tools, including MicroStrategy and Tableau to provide data-backed analyses and recommendations.
