Job Description
Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full time Senior Analyst - Consumer & Market Insights - for its Brand Portfolio Management (BPM) team. The BPM team is directly linked to Ubisoft international Headquarters and specializes in Market Research. Its goal is to contribute to the better understanding of our markets, of our consumers and their behaviors, to guide the development of our products, and to support the growth strategy of our brands.
The BPM team is +100 people strong and operates on 4 different sites: Paris, Montreal, Shanghai, and San Francisco.
As part of the San Francisco Team, you will be in charge of projects involving both qualitative and quantitative research.
This position is a remote work opportunity.
Job Res ponsibilities:
- Oversee the launch of strategic studies led by the BPM, for clients such as the management, Operational marketing, or development studios, as well as other projects that you will initiate proactively.
- Assist internal clients in the development of their assets and marketing strategies.
- Carry out studies, both in partnership with research institutes or in-house in autonomy by using :
- Quantitative methods: Ad-hoc studies, panels, Internal databases, statistical analysis …
- Qualitative methods: Desk Research, Filmed interviews, online communities …
- Identifying & analyzing consumer insights, as well as communicating these results to the internal clients in order to improve their comprehension of the market & the consumers, and fuel their strategic vision.
- Collaboration with the other centers of expertise from the BPM team
Occasional trips in the US and in our overseas entities are to be expected.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (MA/MBA) preferred - Marketing, Marketing Research, Statistics, or Econometrics.
- 3 to 6 years Market Research experience, working for a Research Institute / Consulting firm or for an announcer. Preferably with experience in Entertainment / Media / Audiovisual.
- Must have experience in managing Quantitative Market Research projects for clients.
- Prior experience in qualitative Research (focus groups) preferred.
- Must demonstrate interest and proficiency in research methodology, study design and interpretation, as well as in more advanced statistical methodologies.
- Experience with SPSS, Statistica, R, or other statistical software is essential
- Experience with data sciences (programming languages, database queries, and datamining) a plus.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be fluent in English - Speaking/understanding French language is a plus
- Experience with video editing software (Premiere, After Effect) a plus.
- Strong interest in video games industry and cultural entertainment in general
- Excellent critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills with superior attention to detail are necessary.
- Must be able to create impactful, story driven, & visually pleasing deliverables.
- Must be able to make progresses on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
