Responsibilities:
- Perform various month-end and year-end accounting close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Ensure financial information and schedules are accurate and maintained in accordance with US GAAP.
- Specific exposure to ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 350 Intangibles – Goodwill and Other is preferred
- Prepare financial statements, including income statement byproduct, for dissemination to senior management, partners, and other third parties as needed
- Prepare monthly variance analysis by department, product, and other segments
- Coordinate with external auditors for requests and inquiries
- Ensure controls are properly performed within the order to cash and financial close processes, and financial reporting
- Partner with internal departments and external consultants as needed, to support ongoing improvements to business processes, procedures, and accounting systems
- Perform various projects such as research, special projects, and analysis as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent years of experience
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in accounting
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software is a plus
- Deep analytical skills and attention to detail; able to multi-task on multiple projects with varying deadlines
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
