Senior Accountant

NC America, a newly formed subsidiary of the massive $6bn gaming company NCSOFT, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance team. This role is responsible for all general accounting functions, including processing and preparing financial statements and reports for upper management. This individual requires at least three years of experience, solid communication skills and technology and analytical knowledge. Working understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is also valuable.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop, enhance, and streamline processes and controls and related financial reporting metrics by creating efficiencies and simplification of output by leveraging technology solutions and automation.
• Research new rules and other technical matters (IFRS) and their application to the company’s products, and document company policy.
• Preparing and/or compiling appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Maintaining the general ledger system.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including regularity reporting as applicable
• Provide audit support on various projects, quarterly and annual reviews/audits.
• Identify and document opportunities to improve business processes and internal controls.
• Provide other teams with ad hoc research, reporting and projects.
• Assist the Finance team in long-term budgeting and forecasting.
• Other tasks assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional accounting of related experience.
• CPA License or master's in accounting a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, power BI) and excellent command with excel and manipulation of large data.
• Prior experience with accounting reporting programs (e.g., SAP, Great Plains, etc.) is preferred.
• Strong time management, detail oriented with great organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Must have a team-oriented work ethic, strong oral, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt in a team environment where change is the norm and understand the bigger picture.
• Bilingual Korean a plus
