Senior 3D Character Modeler

For our Prague studio we are looking for an experienced and creative colleague with a passion for games that will help us develop excellent looking characters for our next project. This position requires a strong sense of design as well as the resourcefulness to execute high-quality art even within technical constraints. An easy-going personality with disciplined work ethics is a must, as you will be a focusing element within the team.

Responsibilities

• Creating high-quality character models and their assets while adhering to design and technical limitations
• Cooperating across departments to achieve excellent quality of produced assets
• Being an example to more junior character artists and mentoring them to improve

Requirements

• Excellent Maya knowledge
• Understanding of human and animal anatomy
• Excellent organic sculpting and hard surface modelling
• Experience with skinning geometry with proper topology for natural looking deformations in animation
• Good understanding of texture and material creation, using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter, Substance Designer etc.
• Portfolio that includes characters rendered in any game engine
• Team spirit with good communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback

Nice to have

• Experience with modular clothing systems
• Experience working with facial scans
• Shipped an AAA game on PC or console as a character artist
• Experience with CryEngine
• Experience with grooming

• Vývoj vysoce kvalitních modelů charakterů a jejich assetů podle zadání a s přihlédnutím k technickým limitacím
• Spolupráce s různými odděleními tak, aby assety měly špičkovou kvalitu.
• Být dobrým příkladem juniornějším kolegům a jejich mentoring

Požadujeme

• Výborná znalost Maya
• Znalost lidské a zvířecí anatomie
• Dobrá znalost organického modelování a hard surface modelování
• Dobrá znalost geometrie skinningu a správná topologie deformací pro animace
• Dobrá znalost tvoření textur a meteriálů v programech jako Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter, Substance Designer.
• Dobré portfolio, které obsahuje videoherní postavy (za použití jakéhokoli herního enginu)
• Jste motivovaný týmový hráč s dobrými komunikativními schopnostmi
