DEX Product Owner

The Role

We are seeking a Product Owner for DEX. In this position, you will help shape products’ functionality, features, requirements, and specifications, shepherding the development to reach the desired outcome. You will represent the voice of the customer and the organization by delivering business value. You will work closely with key business and technology stakeholders to define and prioritize features and stories, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals. You will also partner with members of IT to understand the technologies within your portfolio and their part in contributing to the overall end-user experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple products that vary from low to medium degrees of strategy, scope, and complexity. Defining the requirements and roadmaps
• Monitor and maintain product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency, balancing long and short-term costs with desired outcomes.
• Contribute to the creation of product vision and alignment with strategic priorities.
• Work daily with your team to clarify business requirements, align development, remove roadblocks, communicate, and support alignment around product strategy.
• Set expectations with stakeholders for delivering new capabilities, features, and functionalities and communicate value to be delivered in each iteration based on team capacity.
• Translating the leadership team’s strategic direction into current product features
• Analyze feasibility, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product.
• Own and maintain product backlogs, being accountable for content, prioritization, and acceptance criteria.
• Accountable for clear, actionable user stories. Set priorities and actively participate in quarterly planning.
• Understand regulatory, compliance, and other industry constraints on the products and prioritize accordingly.
• Negotiate with immediate squads/teams to ensure priorities are aligned in a portfolio.
• Writing specifications, wireframe
• Leading project execution from design to production roll-out
• Conducting product and market research to discover new trends and opportunities in the DeFi and crypto trading space
• Assessing current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
• Defining methodologies for analyzing user engagement and usage, then Analyze areas of improvement by studying user behavior and engaging with the community

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of product manager/owner experience and knowledge of developing a product through its entire lifecycle, including agile development practices.
• 2+ years of experience as a product manager or owner in the crypto space with a proven track record of taking products from ideation to launch
• Deep domain expertise in DeFi, including market trends. Experience relating to derivatives products like perpetuals, lending/borrowing products, LP/MM dynamics, yield strategies, and products, etc.
• Experience with trading systems such as exchanges, Dex’s, perpetuals trading, with a deep understanding of how they work.
• Solid product research skills and a desire to create cool, innovative ideas. Excellent communication and organizational skills and experience working in a globally distributed team.
• Strong understanding of math and finance
• A technical background allowing you to work closely with engineering
• Skills at understanding complex problems and distilling them into simpler, straightforward descriptions

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications

• Driven and motivated by innovation
• Experience with UI and UX design
• You have built execution and order management systems for either crypto, securities, or FOREX trading.
• Have experience building and maintaining trading and/or lending platforms at a crypto, fintech, or financial institution.
