We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Intern to join our Account Management team. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in various aspects of sales and Account Management, including customer relationship management, account planning, promotions, trade, and sales support. As a Sales Intern, you will work closely with our sales team, learning from experienced professionals and contributing to the achievement of sales targets. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about account management, customer relationship management, and sales within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This position is full time, hybrid, 3 days a week in office/2 work from home for a 3 month-period (with potential to extend employment) and will be based out of Maximum Games Headquarters in Walnut Creek, California.
In this position, you will:
- Participate in sales meetings and shadow experienced sales representatives during client presentations and negotiations.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team, such as maintaining sales records, updating databases, and preparing reports.
- Assist with sales proposals and presentations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities.
- Contribute to team discussions and provide creative input to enhance sales strategies and processes.
- Assist account managers in providing exceptional customer service to clients by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor client accounts to identify trends, analyze data, and assess performance against key metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to account managers for optimizing client accounts.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Brand (marketing), finance, and operations, to ensure effective coordination and execution of client projects and initiatives.
Ideally, you have:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sales, account management and video games and desire to build a career in said areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and result-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with Mac OS and Microsoft Office
