Job Description
Magic Leap, Inc. is seeking a Safety Engineer Intern to support our Occupational Safety and Health Department. This position will offer you the chance to work closely with occupational safety experts to conduct job safety analysis, machine risk assessments and laboratory inspections. Analyze key metrics such as incident trends, near misses, and audit findings. If you are a fast-learner with a positive attitude and a strong passion for working with new technology, come join the Safety Team in maintaining a safe work environment for the development of cutting edge technology.
You will need to go into one of our offices regularly in Plantation, Florida.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Safety Science
- Strong data processing and organization skills required
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to communicate effectively across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OSHA 1910 requirements
- Experience with ergonomic evaluations
- Experience with machine risk assessments
- Experience with job safety (hazard) assessments
- Experience with laboratory or cleanroom environments a plus
Education
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelor/Master's program in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health and safety or relevant field, or equivalent experience
