Release Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced quality assurance and release professional who’ll be responsible for building our QA and release management functions. You will work closely with leads of all departments to understand project needs and scale our QA and release efforts appropriately. You will own the guidelines and policies for QA and release management.

The ideal candidate will have experience both building as well as running QA and release management in the global, free-to-play games industry.

Reports To

This position is based in Guildford, UK and reports to the Development Director

What will you do?

• Plan and implement the QA & release management function for a cross-platform free-to-play service game, across all locations
• Plan and implement KPIs for the game’s quality
• Take ownership of external partnerships in the areas of QA & release management
• Be the principle point of contact for the areas of responsibility
• Own the risk management in the areas of responsibility
• Enable frequent, high quality releases of features and content for a free-to-play service game
• Ensure continuous improvement of our QA & release management efforts
• Establish and maintain a QA and release pipeline
• Collaborate with other departments to improve quality and development methods

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years professional QA leadership experience
• Have a passion for delivering high quality product
• Experience with agile testing and test automation
• Experience working with automation and automation engineers
• Experience working with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds
• Good presentation skills
• A game enthusiast

What additional skills/experience will help you stand out?

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams, Excel
• Experience running cross-platform game development projects
• Experience operating global, constantly evolving games as a service
• Experience working with highly distributed development and support teams
• Experience building distributed QA, release management and localisation teams
• A superb motivator and implementor of quality standards
