What We Do
Driving the plug-in power behind Unreal Engine 5. We bridge connections for licensees and our own internal game teams to online services. This allows games like Fortnite to utilize a combination of platform online services as well as Epic’s own online services to build cross-platform online features. Login, parties, voice chat, matchmaking, purchasing, cloud storage, and analytics are just a few examples of online features that our Online Game Services team helps games utilize.
What You'll Do
We are looking for an experienced, partner-focused Release Manager to oversee and coordinate the release processes across Epic’s Online Platform. Responsibilities include ensuring that software is fully tested prior to release. Ability to plan, coordinate, communicate software readiness and releases to stakeholders.
In this role, you will
- Actively ensure multi-team collaboration for a product release which includes development delivery, QA testing, Marketing, Documentation, Localization
- Coordinate and support internal and external teams with prioritization of critical issues for releases and drive the responsibilities required for successful planned releases and hotfixes
- Work closely with Technical Account Managers (TAMs) to manage communication and release cadence for external partners
- Maintain formal release records to track release content and history for multiple products across Epic’s Online Platform such as EOS, EOS SDK, and the Epic Launcher
- Regularly communicating build status to product teams and stakeholders, articulating build and release issues in detail
- Coordinate all aspects of production deployment, including deployment testing and internal and external announcements as well as ensuring releases have passed all required checks and approvals leading up to production deployment
- Partner with Production, QA, and Programming to drive improvements for the release process, automation, post-release retrospectives and tool creation efforts
What we're looking for
- Strong project management skills
- Experience using JIRA or similar project tracking tool
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organization
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability in right-sized process development and improvement
- Experience with build and release process for a Software as a Service product
- Technical orientation and strong understanding of software development
- Familiar with Perforce and Grafana
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).
Pay Transparency Information
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$128,902 — $189,056 USD
