What does the EA IT Secure Identity Platform Team do?

Electronic Arts is a global leader in digital interactive entertainment. EA has more than 600 million active players and operates in 75 countries.

Our team, the Secure Identity Platform group is a new central technology team that is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Identity systems that help with Enterprise Single Sign-on, Access Management, Messaging using Mail & Calendar and Critical IT Infrastructure. Our goal is to deliver scalable solutions for unphishable authentication across all EA applications, Simplified access management and Secure email communication.

What will you be doing?

This role is for a systems engineer who loves the challenge of engineering and maintaining critical Mail and Calendar services using Microsoft 365 suite of applications that serves the entire company. You will be responsible for working with security stakeholders to understand evolving security requirements around Mail and Calendar and implement them in the most maintainable fashion. You will also work on migrating emails, calendars, One drive & SharePoint data , Microsoft Active Directory, as part of EA’s mergers and acquisitions involving Active Directory users, computers, server migrations, and Microsoft 365 tenants.

You will be responsible for documenting the technical specifications, implementing automation where it can deliver efficiency, defect-free automation scripts through the development of unit and integration tests, and leverage the use of continuous integration systems. You should be familiar with working in an Agile/Scrum model in a modern DevOps organization.

You must ensure stellar product quality by adhering to established security best practices and standards. You should also be uptodate with the changes and roadmap of Microsoft 365 suite of products and Azure AD services.

You will be interacting with product managers, project managers, Operations teams, Security Architects, quality engineers and infrastructure engineers across the US and other geographies.

Skills

• 6+ yrs of Hands-on experience in Manual and Automation testing.
• Working closely with Product Management, QA Lead, Development Team and Support teams to create and deliver a quality-focused QA deliverable.
• Design test scenarios based on user stories or requirements
• Design systematic test cases from scenarios for applications based on user stories or requirements.
• Good skills in STLC, impact analysis, regression testing and test reporting.
• Provide timely status update
• Log defects during the test execution phase
• Well versed with defect life cycle and defect management process
• Investigate potential defects and discuss them with the developer.
• Experience in managing automation test projects.
• Strong programming skills in C#/Python.
• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for using C# or Python.
• Experience in using any Version control like Git , Gitlab for repository and CI/CD Pipelines with Jenkins.
• Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues.
• Provide feedback on process improvement when there’s opportunity and strive to apply testing best practices.
• Knowledge on ALM tools such as Jira, Test Rail.
• Experience in working in Agile
• Experience in collaborating with developers to understand impact of code changes done by the developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience in distributed, network systems in Windows, Linux or macOS environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
• Self-starter with an eagerness to constantly learn and pass/share the knowledge along to the team.
• Strong sense of ownership/‘can do’ attitude and high attention to detail
• Ability to dive into difficult problems and deliver results on time and on spec
• Demonstrate a high level of creativity and problem solving
