Job Title – QC Project Manager (Mobile)
Job Summary – Ubisoft Entertainment is seeking a highly organized project manager with outstanding communication abilities and proven experience in project management. The project manager will oversee the game from QC perspective to interface with development teams on QC initiatives while identifying and communicating QC needs.
The ideal candidate shall have the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel. Strong game knowledge and product management experience in the game are required. The position will require the person to work closely with QC Teams from multiple studios and the development teams to ensure high level of collaboration on the assigned title.
Job Responsibilities:
As owner of delivering high quality outputs on a project, you will be involved in a complex process of quality control and serving the following mandates -
Oversee Process
- Regular sync up with mobile QC Leads to collect the progress
- Analyse the resource requirements for the projects based on the scope of the work and provide the data to QC unit manager.
- Ensure that the Leads are delivering the deliverables are in-line with Production expectations.
- Follow up with leads to ensure that Test Plan and Test Strategy for the project are in place for the mobile projects
- Monitor and ensure that the reports delivered by the QC Lead has relative and correct information as per the Production requirements and according to the established standards
- Evaluate the Micro test plans created by the QC Leads and ensure they have taken into consideration all the project priorities
- Ensure Risk assessment reports, Must fix issues, compatibility checks etc are well planned by the QC leads and information is shared with production team for each update.
- Revisit the current processes & procedures followed by the Mobile teams across the projects. Identify the documentation, knowledge management, communication and collaboration processes that will be followed by the Mobile QC teams through various project stages
- Coordinate with Lead to give update on the Quality and Quantity of issues entered per project.
- Continuously analyze the tool improvements/needs for Mobile QC teams on the project and share the same with QC Unit Manager
- Capture learnings from different Mobile Project and incrementally improve processes and solution based on the same
Training Program
- Collect the training requirement from the entire Mobile project and communicate to Unit manager.
- Contribute in Planning/ Scheduling training programs and as per team’s availability.
Analysis Data
- Stakeholder management- Creating and maintaining a dashboard of the Mobile Projects performance. Identifying red flags and proactively resolve any concerns and issues
- Auditing the project processes and ensuing the quality output.
As a part of Ubisoft QC Department, you will be expected to contribute towards the improvement initiatives, and be part of following activities:
- Identify tools requirement and opportunities for automation implementation to improve testing efficiency
- Contribute proactively towards the Studio roadmap initiatives and work with cross-unit teams to implement the required changes
- Participate in regular QC review meetings to highlight Project progress, share updates and identify risks and relevant action items
- Mediate together with the QC Director on any conflict that might appear in the teams
- Works with Management, QC Leads and HR teams on establishing and evaluating team performances according to the settled salary and bonus strategy, identifying motivation levers for all the levels within the structure
- Anticipate with QC Director and HR teams the needed resources and training, proposing plans for short and long terms
- Contribute to the hiring process of new employees and identify profiles best fit as per studio requirements
- Collaborate with the QC Unit Manager to forecast human/hardware/software resource requirements proactively
- Collaborates with stakeholders to work on process improvement initiatives in-line with studio and WWQC strategies
- Empower Leads and ensure that they are delivering the task on time.
Required skills
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Good managerial skills with previous experience in managing and coordinating large, cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
- Solid communication skills in English with French being a plus
- Experience in managing mobile titles and knowledge of Mobile testing Life cycle.
- Strong understanding of debugging and quality control process

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Project Management tools and frameworks
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, TDD/ BDD methodologies. Experience in working in an Agile environment being a plus
