QA Tester (fulltime)

You are a proactive and passionate QA Tester and you are looking for a dynamic function. CoolGames is looking for a tester with passion for casual games, to strengthen our QA team. When the app-stores were introduced ten years ago, mobile quickly became the largest games platform. And now a new shift is taking place, as millions of people are starting to play and instantly share games with friends via their social or messaging apps, such as via Facebook, Snapchat, LINE and WeChat. CoolGames has been a front-runner in this new space and brought many successful games to messaging platforms, including Angry Birds, Battleship and Daily Sudoku, which is now the #1 sudoku game on Facebook.

What are you doing as a QA tester?

You will be manually testing games and be in charge of a project. You oversee the QA tasks required for the said project as well as representing QA in various meetings for the project. Next to testing, you’ll focus on scripting as well as setting up testcases. You have good communication skills and interact with the developers both inside and outside the studio to help guide them to smart solutions to common problems. You provide feedback on design choices and around end-user experience. You can write clear and detailed QA reports that developers can use to reproduce, validate and fix bugs. You use Jira to log and track issues. You will work in a dynamic team and be flexible to work with various departments within the company.

Requirements

What is your profile?

You're the kind of person who likes to take things apart just to figure out how they work. You like to troubleshoot technical problems and try to get to the root of why weird error messages come up when you click a game character really fast on a Japanese Android phone running the stock browser. You’re motivated, organized, enjoy working with and within a team. Forward thinking, you’re always coming up with ideas on how to make a product better. You’re analytical, a stickler for details and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. You also have a passion for mobile and web gaming.

• At least 2 or more years of experience in the QA Field
• Experience in testing Games/Software
• Some experience in Python
• Basic Technical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Modern Mobile Platforms (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows)
• Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking system
• Able to clearly communicate in English. Spoken and written
