QA Manager

We are looking for an experienced QA Manager to join our QA Management Team in the VP Quality organization. You will be part of the Release Engineering Group (REG), which is responsible for all parts of shipping new releases of Unity as well as shipping patch releases from our sustained engineering team. You will be based in Brighton on the UK’s sunny south coast, where we’ll be moving into our bespoke brand-new offices in the coming year.
We are a global and distributed company, so you will also collaborate with teams across our other U.S. and worldwide studios, and you will have opportunities to travel. As a QA Manager you will work with every team in Unity to make sure we have coverage on every feature and package we ship, as well as making sure the central QA teams are covering the integration testing of all these as we ship everything as one product. Shipping Unity is a complex and daunting task, so you must be comfortable with dealing with complexity and ambiguity.
You will be key to work with R&D with a global mission of improving the way we work to deliver outstanding quality to our users.
Responsibilities
- Work with the leads of the four teams in the REG QA org
- Work with leaders across R&D to improve quality upstream
- Create and improve processes inside the REG teams.
- Work with release managers to improve and define release criteria and reporting
- Help drive talent improvement as part of the management team
- Own and track budgets for your group
- Own and improve our outsourcing efforts
Requirement
- Experience shipping large, complicated products
- Managed large teams
- Extensive experience in software industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Coding background
