QA Manager

Gravity Well is looking for someone to help build and mentor a knowledgeable, experienced internal QA team. We’re looking for someone who loves the process of QA, strives to create bug-free games, and enjoys working directly with developers to ship something they are proud of.
You will help define the philosophy of the QA team and work with all departments to foster a culture and passion for quality.
What You'll Do:
- Work directly with the development team from pre-production to launch & beyond.
- Manage and continue to grow a team of QA analysts.
- Be responsible for setting QA processes, standards & expectations, and ensure the team is adopting and meeting them.
- Be the liaison with external / publisher QA teams, responsible for onboarding, aligning processes, and defining areas of support.
- Build reporting systems & processes to keep the team aligned on issues and the state of the game.
- Acquire knowledge around development processes, tools and engine and share with the QA team.
- As a working lead, you’ll also find, document, and reproduce bugs within the game, engine, and dev tools. You'll also set up test plans, automation, and other QA documentation.
You Have:
- Experience leading a QA team including maintaining a bug database, triaging during ship cycles, managing team members, and developing comprehensive test plans.
- Worked on a full cycle AAA game from pre-production to ship.
- Excellent problem solving.
- Excellent communication.

- Experience mentoring team members to maximum potential.
Ideally You'll Have:
- Experience with Unreal Engine.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Programming/scripting/technical experience.
What You’ll Get:
- The base pay for this role is $125,000 to $175,000 USD per year and is applicable to US-based employees only. We pay fairly across our global team regardless of your location, but it will differ based on factors such as experience, qualifications, etc.

Where You'll Work:
