QUALITY ASSURANCE
What We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
We’re looking for an experienced QA Manager for Fortnite! In this role you will be a leader in developing a quality strategy in digital art and audio content on the Fortnite project. You will be guiding quality for seasonal releases, partnering with other discipline leads, and innovating and improving our seasonal quality processes to deliver an epic experience for our players. In this role, you will
- You will own the quality direction for your team and lead efforts to improve our quality metrics, practices, and tooling with an emphasis on scalability and sustainability.
- Develop and iterate on quality strategies that encompass staffing, technical requirements, product space, and involvement throughout the development lifecycle.
- Audit testing approaches, provide detailed recommendations for improvement, and address tactical gaps.
- Identify risks to the quality of testing in the product, process, and people and then develop and execute on solving those challenges through internal and external resources.
- Evaluate, nurture, and grow the skills and the usage of our Quality Assurance staff (Analysts, Engineers, Testers).
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of QA experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership/management level.
- Software/games testing experience in a fast paced environment or equivalent experience with large art pipeline generating projects
- Solid understanding of test methodologies and iterative development
- Experience in functional and non-functional testing in digital art and audio spaces
- Knowledge and experience using UE, Shotgrid, JIRA, and other large collaborative tools
- Ability to prioritize and work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Ability to thrive while working in a fast-paced working environment, with the ability to juggle multiple projects
