QA Game Programmer (Remote)

About Us
LiquidX Studio is a gaming development studio with the goal to produce an open-world AAA game called Pixelmon.

We are based in Singapore and Malaysia with many of our team collaborating remotely from countries like New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil. With large backing from our recently raised funding round, we aim to create an entirely unique experience with immersive gameplay and extensive lore that will wow all gamers.

The Challenges

In this position, you are responsible for developing and maintaining the game and system stability to ensure an overall smooth gaming and player experience.

What You Can Expect To Work On

• You will improve and refine efficient solutions to problems while continuously enhancing delivery.
• You will be vital in supporting your development teams, Engineers, and Artists, executing and owning the QA process to deliver quality to Players.
• Establishing best-quality practices that help ship great experiences for Players is a fundamental expectation for this role.
• You will drive accountability for overall quality as essential for decision-making across product leadership.
• Establishing metrics that matter, using data to guide action.
• Communication driven, representing the QA team's work on progress, tasks or blockers, and the overall quality of the assigned product.
• Work closely with the devops to integrate unit and functional tests.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of experience leading Quality efforts in game development and successfully grown a culture of quality across teams and products.
• Education. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information technology, statistics or related field
• Technical Knowledge. Experience working with test automation and tools strategy. Preferably with Gauntlet, Unreal Automation Tests & Functional tests. Knowledge with integrating these with CI/CD tools such as jenkins and teamcity is a plus.
• Problem solving. Ability to solve complicated problems using best practices.
• Shipped Games. At least 1 shipped game working on game QA and stability.
