Does the idea of producing top quality software drive you? Do you have experience with automated testing and an interest in working in the gaming industry?

As a QA Engineer at Tactile, you will have the opportunity to test games that touch millions of players. It would be your responsibility to ensure that what we release really is top quality. You are a great fit for this position if you like to take initiative to complete tasks, work collaboratively with others and want to make games enjoyable for everyone!

We work in a fast-paced environment and want to push the boundaries of what the team is capable to deliver. What we’re aiming at is to help build amazing games. It’s software development in an agile environment. You will need to be able to research the game and give an accurate report both in writing and speaking. We need to be able to do it quickly and make an impact while keeping things grounded in reality. We also need to be able to “look into the future” and drive the change to help the team navigate around risks. Testing in our team is a challenging, but rewarding experience.

Taking responsibility is highly appreciated as each of our QA Engineers is either responsible for a whole game or for a team of developers. Besides this, the core aspect of the job is writing automated test cases using Python. You can also expect to take part in meetings, write descriptions of test cases, request manual testing but also do some hands on, manual testing yourself.

This full-time position is available immediately and on-site in our Copenhagen office.

Your general responsibilities as a QA Engineer will be to:

  • Work closely with game teams to understand our products and define testing requirements
  • Own the testing on an entire project or some features of the game
  • Write test case descriptions and automation scripts that execute them
  • Test our games across multiple platforms (iOS, Android and Kindle) to identify any quality issues and bugs
  • Record and classify the severity of and report any issues to ensure the important ones are fixed before release
  • Escalate issues as appropriate
  • Create issue reports and shepherd the tickets in a database

Requirements (a good blend of them - we’re not looking for Unicorns):

  • Solid knowledge of programming in Python
  • At least 1 year of QA experience, preferably with some automation in the mix
  • Experience with mobile testing
  • Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written) - English is our corporate language!
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to create concise and accurate reproduction steps
  • Familiarity with mobile games is a plus

What we offer:

  • A full-time position in a bright new office space in the heart of Copenhagen
  • A chance to work with the latest tools and technology
  • Opportunities for individual growth and development
  • New professional challenges - you will be able to shape, influence and innovate how we do things!
  • Social activities, including game nights, book club, Friday bar and more
  • The opportunity to become a part of the diverse Tactile family of 160+ employees representing over 30 different nationalities, and 40% women!
  • Relocation assistance to those coming from outside of Denmark
  • Danish language classes with our in-house Danish teacher to support you in starting your life in Denmark

At Tactile, we work hard to nurture an open and amicable work environment, based on trust, individual freedom and responsibility. Our colleagues work together on projects in a flat structure with little hierarchy. We firmly believe that when talented people collaborate instead of compete, amazing things happen! This is why we consider ourselves not only a growing company, but also a growing family.

We would love you to become a part of our story, so apply now! We welcome candidates of all backgrounds from all over the world, but please make sure your application is in English.
