QUALITY ASSURANCE
What We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
We're looking for a Se nior QA Engineer responsible for testing and contributing to automation efforts for our mobile tools and websites. This position owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of web features, mobile app functionality, or a set of work, where you will be part of a rapidly iterating development team working closely with professional and highly technical developers.
In this role, you will
- Work with product owners, developers, and QA management to define and identify requirements, anticipate risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming and existing web features
- Build test strategies and test plans to cover social web features in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
- Coordinate automated, functional, qualitative, and performance testing efforts
- Contribute automated test cases or tools within a framework
- Use a mix of manual and technical testing skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across web feature sets to analyze quality
- Analyze and troubleshoot reported defects and internal issues
- Report and track for data quality and use that data to drive conversations around product quality and the development health
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of web software testing experience in a rapidly evolving environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Extensive experience in testing web-based features for frontend and backend services and hands-on experience in testing mobile applications (using Xcode or Android Studio), creating detailed test plans and test cases for both
- Proficient in using various testing tools (Charles, Postman, RestAssured, Chrome Debug tools, Firebug) for troubleshooting, cross-platform/browser compatibility testing, and testing dynamic web applications and mobile apps
- Familiarity with web scripting languages like JavaScript and using testing tools such as Jest+ and Puppeteer
- Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing debugging tools to investigate and report on results
- Solid understanding of test methodologies (e.g., automation, functional, qualitative, performance) to drive iterative development
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with senior dev engineers on technical topics and features
This role is open to multiple locations (including WA).
Pay Transparency Information
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$93,887 — $137,700 USD
