The Role

Tag Games is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join us. The person in this role will work closely with our internal Production team and our external partner to coordinate planning, tracking, reporting, risk management and dependency tracking.

In addition to performing day to day project management activities you’ll also own the overall processes and practices relating to development, and will work closely with stakeholders on the project team to ensure we’re working as effectively as possible, and that all disciplines interests are represented.

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Working in tandem with the Product Management, Design & Production teams to manage the project roadmap, backlog, schedule and risk log
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to gather the relevant data and information and ensure project documentation is and other artefacts are always up to date
  • Implementing and maintaining robust project controls in the form of tracking mechanisms & project status reports
  • Proactively engaging with key stakeholders to ensure that risks, issues and dependencies are identified, documented and actively managed/mitigated as appropriate
  • Ensuring that all team members have a good understanding of our project management processes and practices, providing education and coaching where necessary
  • Focusing heavily on continual improvement, identifying areas where high impact issues are happening repeatedly - or simply areas where we can improve - and working closely with the relevant people to gather information, gain consensus on process improvements to resolve them and take responsibility for driving those changes through to completion

To do this job, you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a project management role
  • Experience as a project manager on medium sized teams (around 100 people across multiple locations globally)
  • Experience of full project lifecycle from initiation through to closing
  • A solid understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience of managing product roadmaps, backlogs, development schedules and risk logs
  • Demonstrable experience of risk and dependency management
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing process change
  • Demonstrable experience of project management tools/software
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint and JIRA or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven ability to present data and facts clearly in a range of formats depending on the audience and purpose of messaging
  • An eye for detail

Not essential but highly desirable:

  • Games industry experience preferred but not essential,
  • A software development or other technical background would be highly beneficial
  • Formal project management qualification/s (e.g Certified ScrumMaster)
