Workplace Experience/Office Manager

Niantic is building an emerging tech hub in Lawrence, Kansas. This role will be a key partner and support for site leadership to help build, grow and create a dynamic team and culture, while keeping the office humming and moving effectively and in alignment with other Niantic offices.

As a key partner to our SVP of AR and Geo Engineering, this role will lead efforts to create a great work environment as we grow our team. The ideal candidate is someone that can anticipate needs and manage multiple/complex projects with a focus on people and process in a growing office.

Administrative Support

• Manage leadership calendars with strong attention to accuracy, detail, and allocation of time to promote productivity and anticipate the need to re-prioritize as appropriate.
• Understand business priorities and identify process improvements to build efficiency and scale for the leaders and teams.
• Provide support on purchasing, expensing, printing, filing, copying, and meeting notes.
• Assist with site and company-wide meetings, events and off-sites, manage logistics for training, events and off-sites.
• Collaborate with other members of the real estate, people and admin team to provide seamless support for all team members.

Workplace Experience

• Lead the general office management of our Lawrence, KS office, running the day-to-day inner workings of the space, including coordination of office build and moves & space allocation, working closely with building management about all the little (and big) things, scheduling regular maintenance of all building systems, maintaining our emergency procedures and overseeing the relationship with all office-related vendors.
• Perform key tasks including but not limited to managing the office budget, run catering and snack program, and lead all aspects of maintenance and repair of building systems.
• Support hosting all-hands and community events for the office in coordination with cross functional teams.
• Maintaining security and safety standards for guests and employees entering the office.

Special Projects

• Support hiring goals including pipeline management, candidate connections in alignment with the recruiting team.
• With recruiting team, plans and executes outreach to universities.
• Help prioritize roles and make placement decisions.
• Support setting up the seed team of Niantics as well as hiring new Niantics.
• Support Intern development programs in alignment with the People team.

Requirements

• Highly proficient in G-Suite, especially Sheets and Presentations.
• Knowledgeable of Ironclad, procurement processes.
• Liaise with vendors as needed.
• Skilled communicator-written, verbally, and as an active and engaged listener.
• Strong influencing skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to navigate multiple priorities with ease and a highly professional demeanor.
