The EAX Quality Verification Data team is responsible for bringing both quantitative and qualitative insights for the EAX team via operational, software development pipeline health, performance monitoring, user experience and team wide dashboarding. The EAX QV team is focused on enabling our internal QV teams and EAX partners to predictably and continuously release high quality player experiences and technology solutions through data visualization, automated monitoring, data quality improvements and data enabled risk/value assessments. Our managers work closely together to ensure visibility, transparency and the quality of our quality management system across our teams. As part of this team you will be well support with you personal and team based objectives by your peers and partners.
The Challenge Ahead:
We are seeking a Project Manager who will be an integral part of our data roadmap. You’ll be working with QV specialists, data analysts, engineers, product management, and more across EAX. Your challenge will be to define, prioritize and execute on a roadmap for this critical area for divergent planning for our team. EAX QV Project Managers focus on outcomes, solving problems, and making things work (or work better). You’ll be accountable for leading the team to meet milestones and quality targets, creating and improving processes and tracking and resolving potential issues/blockers. Beyond the work your additional focus will be on driving positive team culture through improving morale and employee satisfaction in help our team grow their careers and personal impact towards the team objectives!
Your primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Translate product roadmaps and feature requests into workflow diagrams, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other suitable artifacts
- Work with product management, development, and other departments to actively remove obstacles blocking progress and ensure the data program is within schedule
- Clearly and regularly communicate project and roadmap status, risks, and trade-offs to all appropriate stakeholders including senior management.
- Lead discussions around risk impact, mitigation and contingency strategies
- Identify and coordinate cross-component dependencies throughout the development process
- Meet commitments, hold the team accountable
- Be a proactive disruptor. Get involved, look for opportunities to make a difference
What a Project Manager at EA does:
- Attend daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives and other team meetings with your team(s)
- Create work estimates, track progress, and report status in the form of burn up/down charts
- Understand the business priorities and keep the team on track by encouraging communication and collaboration
- Drive execution from concept to live (estimates, tasks, change requests, bugs)
- Act as scrum master
- Evaluate individual performance and potential of team members, provide appropriate recognition or constructive feedback
- Form close working relationships with discipline leads, provide regular coaching and mentoring
- Manage stakeholder communication and requirements
- Establish trust and credibility with team leadership as well as EAX leadership
- Take ownership of your role
Our next Project Manager at EA will have:
- 2+ years in a project management role within the software development industry
- Strong negotiation, prioritization and conflict resolutions skills
- Effective delivery of products using Agile development methodology (Advanced JIRA experience a strong plus)
- Proven track record of influencing prioritization of new features and functionality based on researched ROI considerations
- Strong sense of ownership, drive and ability to deliver results
- Excellent communication, time-management, and teamwork skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
- Strong people management skills and proven track record of effective management of engineering or data analyst resources
- Passion for, experience with and knowledge about games is a strong plus
- High degree of initiative, self-starter, looks for opportunities to make improvements
- Experience working in data analytics a plus
- Experience with delivering live services a plus
- Experience with game development a plus
